Handicap & competition rules
True handicap calculation
Each verified adjusted gross score becomes a score differential using course rating, slope rating, and any playing-conditions adjustment. Once a player has three eligible differentials, the platform establishes an index using the World Handicap System fewer-than-20 table. At 20 scores, the lowest eight of the most recent 20 are averaged. The index is capped at 54.0.
Net competition
For each round, the index becomes a course handicap: index × slope ÷ 113 + (course rating − par). The league allowance is then applied and rounded to a playing handicap. Net score is gross score minus playing handicap. Commissioner-entered course data must match the simulator tee setup.
Money or fun
Players may choose the money competition or just-for-fun track before play begins. The choice locks automatically when that player’s first verified score is posted in the league, preventing a later opt-in based on early results. The system records commitments and payouts only; payments are handled separately by the commissioner.
Standings
Verified round finishes award 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, then 1 point. Additional finishers receive 1 point. Season ties are ordered by lower net scoring average. Every update creates handicap and ranking snapshots so historical trends remain auditable.
This league system follows the USGA/WHS calculation model but is not an official USGA Handicap Index service. The commissioner may publish simulator-specific eligibility and payout rules before registration closes.
